Getting your first payment
First payment is made 1 month and 7 days after you submitted your claim. Make sure you have done the things listed below or you won't get paid! Remember that housing costs are included in the UC payment, and you will need to pay rent directly to your landlord.
Tip! Make sure to note down any important information you share with your job coach in your journal as well, to keep a record of your conversations.

Tip! As soon as you are awarded Universal Credit don’t forget to claim Council Tax support by contacting your local council
